Which albums do you prefer by the Stereophonics? I'm a fan of the earlier stuff, being Word Gets Around and Performance and Cocktails. The new stuff is okay, but the old stuff rocks! What do you think?

I love the old stuff, but the Pull the Pin rocks. I always think I'm not so keen on the more recent stuff till I start driving and crank up the volume.

I like Word Gets Around, personally, though some of the newer stuff is mint as well. Not quite the same vibe, though

I usually go through phases of liking a particular album of theirs more than the others. I personally think they went through a bit of a weak stage with JEEP, I've never really been impressed with that one, but everthing before and after I love ;D

I never understand the "new vs old" question when it comes to music....you either change, grow and support a band when you love them or you don't. Stereophonics rocks....live, recorded live, studio stuff. Their songs, you just keep going back to. I can't take them off of my ipod. I have deleted and replaced so much music on that gadged, but I can't seem to remove anything Stereophonics. For me that is a testament of a real rock & roll band.....you always go back and listen to anything the band ever made.

There wasn't a particular section of that that I could quote - I agree with it all! I think all of their stuff has been brilliant so far and they get me places when I have to walk (I get bored walking but when I stick them on shuffle time seems to go faster). I actually found myself deleting some things off my iPod just to fit Decade in the Sun on there XD Never delete them I will, Live forever they shall.

I think I prefer Word Get's Around and Performance and Cocktails, but let's face it, it's all good! I'm always going to have a soft spot for the Stereophonics

Cant beat live at cardiff castle on dvd. Crank the surround sound to 11! If you like stereophonics, check out my band, Not Ned. I am originally from Newport but moved up to Manchester a few years ago. Catch me on facebook - paul macey, Manchester. My pic is me playing drums, or Administrators note: Please don't advertise here. If you wish to advertise a link then your signature is the place to do so. Alternativley, you can show off your own website for your band if you made it yourself in the Creative Studio.
